MEET OUR STAFF FOR 2011-12:

    ADMINISTRATOR: SHARON DAVIS

Hi, I'm Sharon Davis. I live in Fruita with my wonderful family. My husband, Tom, is a music teacher at Scenic Elementary and I have two beautiful teen-age daughters. I am so excited about being a part of GPCS. I have been in education for over twenty two years as a teacher in grades K-5th, a literacy coach, learning facilitator, and an administrator. I have been part of several multi-age learning communities and feel this is the best way for students to learn. I am looking forward to continuing the place-based philosophy of GPCS and the strong community involvement.

LEAD TEACHER: ERIC CHARLTON

I was born in southern California in 1962. We moved to Bullhead City in northern Arizona when I was eight. As a family we hunted and boated. In high school I played football and basketball. I studied elementary education at the University of Arizona and began teaching at Chatfield Elementary in Grand Junction in 1987.
In 2002, I moved to Taos, NM where I helped build a passive solar house and taught for two years at Taos Charter School. In 2007, I returned to Grand Junction and have taught at Orchard Avenue Elementary School for the last three years.
I enjoy poking around outdoors and floating rivers. I have rowed my raft through the Grand Canyon six times, so far.

TEACHER: ANGELA RICHARDSON

Hello everyone, I'm Angie Richardson. I've been an employee and active member of the Glade Park Community School (GPCS) since January 2010. I currently reside in Glade Park with my awesome pup, Loki. I've had the privilege to work alongside colleagues, students, volunteers, parents, and board members of this beautiful community. I have worked in multi-age classrooms both Waldorf and public school based as the assistant teacher, instructional assistant and school secretary. I am thrilled we have fully expanded to a K-5 multi-age charter school. Not to mention, I am eager to delve into the realm of place-base education and provide our learners with this amazing gift---experiential learning. I look forward to strengthening my community relationships with each of you as we embark on a new and exciting school year.
